Gas Safety Week is new to this year and is a national consumer awareness week aimed at raising awareness of gas safety. The idea of Gas Safety Week is not a one off event but the first in what may become an annual event that is designed to capitalise on the winter switch on of appliances and therefore checks and servicing of all gas appliances.

The theme of the week is Take care, be Gas Safe, and GSR want to encourage home owners to take care of their gas appliances and be Gas Safe. After all, by taking care of your gas appliances properly you are taking care of your home and your loved ones.

GSR hope that this high profile week of national advertising and promotions as well as events across the whole country will galvanise stakeholders, registered engineers, consumers and the media alike to focus on gas safety. We anticipate that stakeholders will rise to the challenge and undertake their gas safety activities and promotions during Gas Safety Week in order to build on Gas Safe Register’s national activities.
